OPI Dutch'ya just love OPI?

Okey, here we go. The first polish from OPIs spring collection Holland. I don't care that it is December and it is dark almost all the time and I still have more christmaslike polishes to try on, today I wanted a spring color. So, here is Dutch'ya just love OPI?

This is a warm purple shimmer polish. The purple is a medium bright color and then it is packed with gold shimmer that gives the color a depth. You can see the shimmer clearly on the nails, even though it might not be so visible on my photos, and I know it will look even better in the spring sun later.
I like this color, when I saw it on the press event the other day I felt at once that it was special. It is sophisticated but cool.

The formula was great and I had no trouble with it. Two coats were enough for opacity.

Isadora Metal Mauve

I am falling more and more in love with Isadoras polishes, especially this falls trendkollektion. Today I am showing you Metal mauve from the Swedish make up brand.

Metal mauve is a purple polish with a silver shimmer. This is beautiful. The color is cool, a bit saturated but a statement with the metallic look. Follow me?

But still, I don't like the brush. It is way too wide. I like it a bit thinner. The wide brush may work on my fingernails, but I could never paint my toenails with this. It is way to wide for that. (And yes, I paint my toenails although it is cold and I am not showing them.)

The formula was good, smooth, and I only needed two layers for full opacity.

Orly Fowl play

I haven't had nailpolish on the whole weekend. Yes, it actually happens. This time because I was putting up wallpaper in our new bedroom (one of my other big interests in life is interior design, I was editor for my newspapers weekly edition about interior design for five years, nowdays I just use what I know about it at home) and I didn't want to get nail polish marks on the wallpaper. But yesterday things went back to normal and I added a bit of glamour to my life again in the form of Fowls play from Orly's fall collection Birds of a feather.

Fowl play is a dark purble jelly with blue and silver glitter and flakies that shifts from red to yellow and green. It reminds me of one of my favourite polishes, Merry midnight from OPI, but Fowls play has more colors.

I am a bit divided about this polish. At one moment I love it, at the other I actually think it is boring. It is beautiful though, and the flakies gives the dark purple a new dimension.

The formula was good, no problem to work with. I used three coats for full opacity.
A warning though, it doesn't work well together with Seche vite. It made the top coats schrink so it actually looks like I applied it sloppy.

OPI Divine swine

It is Thursday, why not pretend it is Saturday and party and take a look at some glitter? I have Divine swine from OPIs collection The Muppets to show you.

This is a bright purple glitter. The base is clear and then there is lots of small purple glitter and some bigger hexagon silver glitters. So it is like the green Fresh frog of Bel air that I showed you last week, but purple.
Wearing this I start wishing though that OPI could have done some more variation with the glitter in this collection, not build them the same way and only change color. Okey, I know there are some variation, but still...

Anyway, this is a beautiful purple, I like the brightnes, but it do need four layers to build up some kind of opacity. I also tried layering it, then I first used two layers of Plugged-in-plum from OPI and over that I used two layers of Divine Swine. So a total of four layers anyway, but the result looks better when you layer it I think.

The formula was good and I had no problem with it.

Divine swine layered over Plugged-in-plum.

Some shopping on the way to work...

I hurt my back this morning working out (isn't training supposed to be good for you?), so feeling sorry for myself I bought two polishes on my way to work. Both I have wanted since I first saw them.

The ones I bought are these:

Britta from Make up store. A pink holo. I am really looking forward to wear this.

Notoriously beautiful from H&M. A purple-blue creme. Like it.

To bee seen on my nails soon... I hope, I have so many untried polishes right now, why did I buy two moore?
