New polishes in my stash

It is always fun to find some polishes in my mail box. These beauties were sent to me a week ago. Polishes from China glaze Metro collection, two from China glaze Halloween collection, polishes from the Italian brand Collistars holiday collection Carisma och polishes from Mavala.

I have had my hands on Denim blue from Mavala several times but never bought it, so I am glad I got that. And China glaze Skyskraper looks amazing. The same with Collistars Blue Lamé Matte.
Hmm, am I in to blues or what at the moment?

Mavala Blue Caracao

Blue Caracao from Mavalas summer collection Art is a strong color. It is a rich turqoise cremepolish that makes a statement on you nails. I really like wearing bright colors in the summer so this is perfect.

The formula was great, smooth and easy to paint with, and I only needed two layers to get full opacity. I do not like Mavalas small caps though, I can never find a good way to hold them.

Even though I did like the color as it is I wanted to play around a bit and put on some Black shatter from OPI. Isn't the combination smashing? 

Mavala Waikiki orange 169

I am really in to bright polishes at the moment. I want my nails to stand out, pop, be noticed. And make me happy when I look at them. Nail polish does that to me. I get happy when I see my polished nails. At least if I am satisfied with the result.

So, Mavalas Waikiki orange from their coming Art collection is a polish for me. It is a bright orange polish on the boarder to being coral. And I like that. It gives me a summer feeling. I wore this to a military green tee and jeans and the combination was smashing.

The polish is a creme polish with a smoth and good formula. I used three coats, but two might be enough. It depends on how picky you are.

Mavala Art collection

Yesterday evening, coming home from the movies with my man, I felt the smell of summer. It had been raining, and I love that smell that comes with rain against asfalt. It is so fresh.

And in the summer I love wearing bright, poppy colors. Actually, I like that all the time, but especially in the summer. So, I was happy when I received the coming summer collection from Mavala the other week.

It is called The Art collection and contains of six creme colors. I received these four:

Waikiki Orange. An orange with corall wibes.
Blue Curaçao. A bright turqoise.
Cyclades blue. A bright blue.
Touch of Provence. Lavender purple.

Mavala for your heart

The nail polish brand Mavala is launching a collection with six of their red colors in March in Sweden. Some of the profit of these polishes will go to the Swedish heart-lung foundation and their campaign Go Red that works especially for womens heart.

So, go red and save a heart!

Mavala Lightening scrub mask

Having beautiful nails is not just about having a nice color on them. Without well trimmed cuticles and a smooth nail surface to paint on it can look a bit crappy I think, then it doesn't matter if you use an expensive nail polish from Chanel or something cheaper from Rimmel.

Lately I have been using this product, Mavala Lightening scrub mask, and I am very satisfied with it. It is like a peeling for your nails and cuticles and it is also supposed to get discolored nails lighter.

I think it has a good effect on my cuticles, since I started using this a couple of times every week I don't cut my cuticles as much. It also creates a smooth surface on the nails which I like.
My nails are not so discolored so it is hard to say if it helps against it.

But I absolutely recommend this.

Mavala 158 Smoky blue

Smoky blue från Mavalas Carrousel kollektion var väl kanske inte det mest upphetsande lacket. Färgen är en aningens tråkig när det kommer på nageln. Vrider man på flaskan syns ett blått glitter, men det syns knappt på nageln. Där ser det bara ut som ett vanligt crémelack och glittret blir bara småknottror som gör att det ser ut som om det kladdat till sig vid lackningen. 

Och det gjorde det i och för sig också. Lacket är lite för tjockt så det blir svårt att hinna med att lacka jämnt. Vill jag dra penseln en gång till över lacket så är det nästan försent. Det är också lite svårt att få till en snygg kantlinje på grund av det.

Ett plus är täckningen. Ett lager täcker nästan men för att få det snyggare har jag målat två lager. 

Nyköp: Mavala 158 Smoky blue

Köpte ett nytt lack i dag, snart spränger jag 100-lacksgränsen.

Gick runt på stan och fastnade för Smoky blue i Mavalas senaste kollektion Carrousel. Efter att ha tittat på det i två butiker så köpte jag det i den tredje. Ibland behöver jag lite betänketid, även om det bara rör sig om 45 kronor.

Nyansen är lite smutsig blå med ett subtilt blått glitter. Ska bli spännande att se hur det ser ut på nageln. Testar nog i helgen och lägger upp bilder då.
