OPI Warm & Fozzie

It seems that you all are very excited about the Muppets collection, so okej, here we go, the second polish from The Muppets collection from OPI is on my nails. I had a hard time choosing which one it would be but I ended up with Warm & Fozzie. And it was certainly not a bad choice because I can't take my eyes off my nails now.

Warm & Fozzie is a foil polish with a slight duochrome effect. It is mainly bronze colored but there is also gold, pink and a little hint of green there. Normally goldtones isn't my cup of tea but I loooove this. It is so beautiful. It is classy but still something extra. And I like that extra twist.

The formula was very good. Smooth and easy to paint with and it dried quickly. I think that is often the case with foils. I needed three layers to get a nice and opaque surface.

OPI Gettin' Miss Piggy with it!

I have been longing for a bright red glitter. So, Gettin' Miss Piggy is the first polish that I am wearing from the upcoming The Muppets collection from OPI.

Gettin' Miss Piggy with it! is a red glitter in a clear base. It has lots of really small red glitters and then some bigger red glitter. Then, the thing that gives this polish the little extra, is some silver glitter.
It sparkles a lot this polish. I love it. This I could wear any day. I really like the silver glitter in the red.

The formula is quite good, although it do need many layers to cover. On the photo below I used four, but I see now that I could have used a fifth because it is not opaque with just four. But you don't really see that unless you get up close. The application needs a bit of work as well, it is hard to get the sides looking straight and good.

It´s Christmas, got The Muppets collection!

I have been jumping up and down again. Yesterday OPI's christmas collection The Muppets landed at my house and I have been so curious about it. I have seen the promo photos and wondering if it would look good in real life as well.
And yes it does. It is twelve beuties, at least in the bottles. I hope they look good on the nails too. I was a bit surprised though, because there is not one single creme polish. On the promos photos it looked like at least one, but it is just glitters and shimmers. Lots of glitter. And I love that.

They all look great, I have hard time choosing a favourite now.

To be seen on my nails soon!

Oh no!!!

My nails are short again. When I took of my polish off I discovered a crack on one of the nails and since I knew it was going to brake totally I decided to file them all down. I always do that because I want all my nails to have the same length. If you look carefully you can see a little of the crack on my nail, I couldn't file them shorter.

But I miss my long nails, I had planned a really nice manicure for tonight, and now I have to come up with something else. So, think, think, think.

OPI I brake for manicures

I brake for manicures from OPIs fall collection Touring America is a color I have trouble to define. Is it grey? Brown? Purple? I end up saying purple, really dark purple that is almost black.

I like this color. It is a color for fall, when the evenings gets dark, the leafs are falling and I just want to cuddle up in the sofa and light candles. As you can see it ends up darker on the nail than it is in the bottle.

The formula was good, not so runny like some of the others from this collection. I used three layers of polish but I think you could get away with just two.

Snowcrystal Salmon Pink

Salmon pink is a soft pink from the Swedish make up brand Snowcrystals summercollection. And, well, it is salmon pink. As salmon pink it can get. I think it looks a bit lame. This is something my grandma would have liked. Sorry.

The formula is not so good either and it takes four layers to get a nice and even result. To many in this case.

OPI DS Temptation

Am I tempted my Temptation? I don't know actually. I am a bit divided here.

The new DS polish from OPI is a beautiful purple glitter polish. It has a blueish base and lots of purple glitter and some pink, blue and silver glitter. The formula is a bit thick, but that also means that it becomes opaque after three layers and that is quite good for a glitter polish I think.

It dries bumpy and a bit matte though so several coats of Seche vite is necessary to bring out the glow in the color.

So, it is beautiful and quite easy to paint with, what am I divided about?

The price. I don't understand why this is more expensive than other glitter polishes from OPI. In Sweden this costs 250 Swedish kronor, a regular polish from OPI costs 150 kronor. I don't think the price is motivated.

Kicks Make up Studio 54

Studio 54 is a perfect name for the gold perl polish from the new make up brand from Kicks. It is gold, it is party, it is glamour. And I say this without even liking gold, it doesn't go with my skintone. But I can see the qualities in this polish anyway.

This is the first polish I try from Kicks. It comes in small bottles (8 ml) and are quite cheap (39 Swedish kronor). The formula is quite good, but you do need three coats to get an even result and there are some visible brush strokes. But it is okey. The brush is a bit short and stiff.
